We love your reviews — whether they’re good, bad, angry, happy, helpful, funny, informative — because they help us see how you see the tours.
PEEK. After you complete a tour, our Peek reservation system sends you a request for a review. The four- and five-star reviews seldom include a comment. These folks usually feel that the rating says it all. They enjoyed the tour.
The lower ratings usually include comments, often quite long ones. These folks really need to vent!
All Peek reviews are confidential so you’ll just have to trust me when I list the statistics as of September 20, 2016:
Celebrity Tour with Mike Vance: 2 reviews. 5.0 star rating out of 5 stars.
Ghost Walks: 12 reviews. 4.0 star rating out of 5 stars. My favorite review: “I didn’t see a ghost.”
Hidden Houston Pub Tours: 70 reviews, 4.3 star rating out of 5 stars. Comment: “I was skeptical if I would think the tour was interesting but we had a blast and Sandra does a great job of inserting herself and her group into the middle of her stories. It was very fun and a great way to experience Houston and learn about the people who used to be here!”
Museum of Fine Arts Campus Tour: 1 review. 5 star rating out of 5 stars.
Riding the Rails Tour: 5 reviews. 4.4 star rating out of 5 stars. Comment on YELP: “The Rail and Tunnel tour gave us a ton of history on the city, buildings, and tunnels. I guarantee I’ll take these tours every time I have someone new visiting Houston, they’re such a great way to see the city!!
TunnelWalks: 33 reviews, 4.7 star rating out of 5 stars. Comments: “Our tour guide . . . had a lot of anecdotal stories she included when speaking about a particular time in history that made the city come alive. I would highly recommend for out of town visitors and even those who have lived in Houston and want to explore and learn more about it.”
Welcome to the Neighborhood Downtown West Side: 2 reviews. 5.0 star rating out of 5 stars.
Overall since March 2015: 125 reviews, 4.4 star rating out of 5 stars
Yelp! 33 reviews since 2007. 3.5 star rating out of 5 stars. Yelp recommends only 20 of the total 33 reviews because the other 13 do not meet their requirements for a valid review. Interestingly, of the 13 non-recommended reviews, 2 were 4-star reviews and the balance, 11, were 5-star reviews.
Peek gives participants the option of posting a 4- or 5-star review to YELP. You may also post to DHT’s YELP site directly. If you do not post reviews frequently on YELP, you might want to watch their VIDEO first.
