Discover Houston Tours’ Neighborhood Bus Tours
Lifestyles of Houston's Rich & Famous
Saturday, June 21, 2008, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Saturday, September 20, 2008, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Travel along West End streets past the site of Camp Logan, where new townhomes and condominiums have replaced quaint wooden cottages.  There will be time to eat and shop in Uptown Park before heading into Tanglewood and points further north and west, where wealthy Houstonians once hunted on foot and horseback through the thick forest lining Buffalo Bayou.

Some things never change.  You’ll admire horses and peacocks near a swankienda once owned by Joanne Herring (recently portrayed by Julia Roberts in Charlie Wilson’s War).  On the way back downtown, you’ll ride through the tree-lined Villages and Sherwood Forest, stopping for a photo opportunity at the Houston Polo Club.
