TUNNELWALK & RAIL TOUR

Available weekdays only.  The Downtown Houston Tunnel System is closed at night, on weekends, and on national holidays.

Fee:  $25 (ages 12+), including MetroRail fare. $20 (ages 5-11).  No charge for children who stay in strollers.

Start: Concierge Desk, Hilton-Americas Hotel. 



 

Itinerary: This three-hour tour includes a stroll through Discovery Green, Houston Center's skybridges, the Downtown Houston Tunnel System, a short ride on MetroRail, Houston's Downtown Historic District, the lobby of the 1913 Post/Rice Lofts, a westward view from the highest sky lobby in Texas, more tunnels, Main Street Square, still more tunnels, and the food court at the Shops at Houston Center, downtown's three-story shopping mall.

Parking: Hilton-Americas Hotel Garage, Discovery Green Garage, surface parking lots.

Age/Ability:  Children must either be in a stroller or have a responsible adult with them at all times since we will cross busy streets and ride public transportation.  These tours are not suitable for people who have trouble standing.  The route includes elevators, escalators, revolving doors, and MetroRail. 

Latest lane and street closures downtown.  Downtown construction may affect your arrival time. Please plan accordingly.
