Cemetery Walks on Sunday mornings feature the oldest part of Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, including several unique and beautiful mausoleums and stained-glass windows.
Riding
the Rail Tours, Saturday, 10
a.m.-1 p.m. & Sunday, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Ride MetroRail's entire
length from the Fannin-South Station to the University of Houston-Downtown
Station. Look out at the downtown skyline, then board MetroRail
for a ride to the fountains at Main Street Square. Board the train again for a ride to the Museum District Station and a rest
stop inside the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston. Stroll from the MFAH to
Hermann Square park, passing the entrance to the Houston Museum of Natural
Science. Ride back to the Fannin-South Station. Fee: $20;
one child (ages 3-12) free
with two paying adults. Fee includes MetroRail fare.
